Max without TV-MA: exclude R and mature series
Exclude R and TV-MA on Max so prestige TV-MA rows are not the default in search.
Open this filter setMax is heavy on mature series
Max (and the HBO catalog inside it) is known for TV-MA dramas. Kids and family titles exist, but a mixed search will surface mature rows first. A kids profile on the Max app is not the same as a shareable search you can send to a co-parent.
This Umami Rate preset excludes R and TV-MA and locks the service to Max. What remains can still include TV-14 and PG-13. Treat that as a living-room ceiling, not a preschool lock.
What this preset does
Exclude mode drops two chips: R and TV-MA. Unrated titles can still appear. If you need a harder kids list, switch to include Kids only after you open the app.
How to use it
Open the preset, search a title or browse, and keep an eye on the rating column. Share the URL so everyone is looking at the same Max slice. Ratings come from TMDB and can disagree with what Max shows on its own page — preview before play.
