“Christmas movie” searches mix G-rated specials with R-rated comedies. Streamer holiday rows do the same. This preset does not know the calendar — it uses the Family genre plus a mature-rating exclude, movies only, all services.
You still pick the title. The filter drops the ratings you do not want in a mixed-age room and prefers titles TMDB tags as Family.
What to expect
PG-13 family films can still appear. Titles missing a Family tag will not, even if they feel seasonal. Add or remove genres in the app. Availability differs by country and bundle.
How to use it
Open the preset near a holiday and search a title you already know, or browse the shelves. Share the URL so everyone is looking at the same list. Tighten to Kids-only if the room is young.

- Why isn’t a famous holiday film here?
- It may be rated R, missing a Family genre tag, or missing from TMDB provider data. Search by name with a looser filter if you already know the title.
- Are TV specials included?
- No. This preset is movies only. Remove the media filter in the app to include series.
