Netflix kids profiles often jump from “kids” to “everyone.” Teens get blocked from TV-14, or they sit on an adult profile where TV-MA is the default thumbnail. This preset is a middle setting: TV only, Netflix only, R and TV-MA excluded.
TV-14 stays in. That is the rating many households treat as the teen default. Individual episodes can still be heavier than the series rating — use the title detail pane.
How to use it
Open the link, search a series, or browse. Add a genre if you want comedy versus genre drama. A teen or co-parent can open the same URL without creating an account.
FAQ
- Are movies included?
- No. This preset is TV-only on Netflix. Remove the media filter in the app if you want films under the same exclude rule.
- Is TV-14 excluded?
- No. Exclude TV-14 as well if that is above your ceiling, or use the TV-PG ceiling guide.
